The more I talk to male friends in Thailand the more I am wondering where all the real Thai girls are hiding. Most of my friends are stuck in some kind miserable hate love relationship with Thai girls they know little about. The partnership is based on his money and her trying to be content with everything he wants, she is not happy but she is content.
Because she is really there for an easy life it creates constant conflicts like when boundaries have to be pushed in different directions. If you meet a poor Thai girl you need to get the fact that any money is better then no money.
Most Thai girls I meet say to me and my friends never dated a real Thai girls but then I start dating those girls who say that and after a while they turn out to be the same.
I do not think there is no point to fight with a girl about her culture and behavior because she had 20 years or more to root them. If your partnership is not working out after a few month there is very little chance that it would be better after time.
I come to the point that I seen trough the real Thai girl myth and take it for what is two different cultures that need to try to find some kind some harmony.
